Description

Bay Area Vintage Guitars is proud to offer this 100% original 1956 Gibson J-160E with adjustable saddle. The factory P-90 pickup cuts through nicely in the mix, and offers a rare combination of fantastic wood tones and a silky amplified tone.

This classic beauty offers clear, crisp, and sweet high-end overtones. The nicely rounded neck is easy and comfortable to play. The neck is straight and plays great up and down the fretboard. It was professionally set up with fresh strings.

The ceramic saddle is part of the secret to the sound that the Gibson J-160e became known for. It was the guitar of choice for many musical luminaries during the golden era of music in the 1950s and 1960s.

No cracks or repairs.
