Whether you’re channelling Phil or Don, this Everly Brothers style 1992 Gibson J-180 Special will get you going. Bozeman-made with Everly Brothers specs including Star inlays and big double pickguards. Fewer than 50 of the J-180 Specials were produced in 1992-93, and this was one of them. We think the dark brown sunburst finish is arguably cooler than the more common black versions, but you be the judge.
Replaced bone nut with a width of 1 3/4 inches. Three-piece Maple neck with a depth of 7/8 inches at the first fret and 1 1/4 inches at the 12 fret. Gibson standard 24 3/4 inch scale length. Rosewood fingerboard with cool Star inlays. Star inlay on the headstock, as well. 20 frets in good condition with some minor denting in the lower positions. Rosewood bridge with Tusq saddle. The J-180 is a slightly downsized version of the J-200, with a 16 inch lower bout as opposed to the 17 inch bout of a J-200. An L.R. Baggs Session VTC pickup system with soundhole controls has been installed.
Whether you’re an Everly Brothers fan or just want a great sounding guitar with serious stage presence, this could be for you. Comes with its original hardshell case.
