Here we have a 2006 Gibson J-185 in excellent condition. About an inch smaller in the upper and lower bouts than the J-200, many people find the J-185 more comfortable to play without sacrificing that classic Gibson jumbo tone. This one has a bit of light playwear and a few micro dings that are hard to find, but overall it’s an exceptionally clean guitar. There is a slight finish ridge on the upper back seam, but no crack or separation. Can be felt more than seen.
Basic Specs: Gibson Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons. Comfortable 1 3/4 inch Bone nut. Mahogany neck with 24.75 inch scale length. Neck depth of .83 inches at the first fret and one full inch at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays. 20 frets in great shape. 12 inch radius. Factory internal pickup system with preamp. Rosewood bridge with Maltese cross and dot Pearloid inlays. Intonated Tusq saddle. Tortoise style pickguard. Spruce top with Maple sides and a figured Maple back.
