Here we have a 1961 Gibson J-200 that has been professionally refinished in all black. The refin was done years ago (we don’t know when exactly) and the surface has acquired a bit of playwear since then. There are a few areas of light not-through-finish scratching and a few little dings that are hard to find. All in all, it’s a very nice looking instrument with normal evidence of having been played.
The guitar has Gold Grover patent pending tuners. Original nylon nut with a width of 1 5/8 inches. Mahogany neck with a 25.5 inch scale length and a depth of .78 inches at the first fret and .93 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and a 12 inch radius. Original Mustache bridge with a newer bone saddle. No pickguard. One glued side crack on the waist of the bass side.
We did our usual in-house set up to get this sweet J-200 playing its best. Comes with its original Lifton hardshell case.
