Here we have a unique and wonderful 1992 Gibson J-200 JR with highly figured Maple back and sides. The guitar is in excellent condition with just light playwear throughout. Instead of the 17 inch lower bout of the standard J-200, the J-200 JR sports a 16 inch lower bout. The upper bout is also about an inch smaller, making it a much more comfortable guitar to play. Great eye appeal, but as always, it’s the sound that we care about most, and this guitar has it.
Basic Specs: Gold Gibson Deluxe tuners. 1 3/4 inch Bone nut. Maple neck with a 25.5 inch scale length. Comfortable profile with a depth of .90 inches at the first fret and 1.10 inches at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and beautiful Pearl crown inlays. Factory Piezo pickup with replaced element. Rosewood mustache bridge with Bone saddle and Pearl block inlays. Etched Tortoise-style pickguard with Pearl dots.
If you’ve always loved the sound and look of the classic Gibson J-200 guitars, but found the body size just too large, this is what you need. The slightly downsized J-200 JR brings all the tone and grace of the J-200 in a size that most anyone will find quite comfortable. Comes with its original Brown tolex hardshell case.
