1968 Gibson Johnny Smith – Sunburst
Check out this vibey 1968 Gibson Johnny Smith in its original Sunburst finish! This one was someone’s go-to player at some point, as evidenced by the playwear and patina, and we can’t blame them! The binding has that awesome smoked-out patina, and the dark Sunburst finish brings out the intense wood grain throughout the guitar. The entire piece resonates so well, and the sustain is fantastic. The neck feels great in the hand, and thanks to the 1-3/4” nut, there’s plenty of room for smooth bends and precise notes. This guitar has been professionally refretted to keep it playing as great as it does, and the pickguard has also been replaced with an identical modern reproduction.
