Johnny Smith was one of the legendary jazz guitarists to emerge from the late 1940s New York jazz scene. This beauty has all the bells and whistles- Spruce top, maple back & sides, Ebony bridge & fingerboard, Ivoroid body & neck binding, Mother of Pearl inlays, with a Venetian cutaway. At the lower bought, the guitar measures at 17 1/8", 13" at the upper, 3" in depth, with a 25" scales length. Playability is exceptional! Low action, clean frets, with plenty of room in the bridge for future adjustments. 1 11/16 at the nut. The original PU-122 Floating Humbucker sounds incredible! Just a stunning clean tone. Perfect jazz and/or blues guitar. Special piece!
