Here's a 1977 Gibson Johnny Smith Model in Sunburst finish. Minty clean, 100% original example! No breaks, cracks, repairs. 1 owner guitar! Includes original tags, cable, case, and even the original soft bag for the case! All are in great shape. Johnny Smith was one of the legendary jazz guitarists to emerge from the late 1940s New York jazz scene. This beauty has all the bells and whistles- Spruce top, maple back & sides, Ebony bridge & fingerboard, Ivoroid body & neck binding, Mother of Pearl inlays, with a Venetian cutaway. At the lower bought, the guitar measures at 17 1/8", 13" at the upper, 3" in depth, with a 25" scales length. Playability is exceptional! Low action, clean frets, with plenty of room in the bridge for future adjustments. 1 11/16 at the nut. The original PU-122 Floating Humbucker sounds incredible! Just a stunning clean tone. Perfect jazz and/or blues guitar. Special piece!
