A 1932 Gibson L-1 in Sunburst finish.
The Gibson L-1 model began in 1902 as an Archtop guitar. In 1926, Gibson reintroduced the L-1 as a flat top model and production continued through 1937. In 1930 Gibson changed the lower bout to a more traditional shape as opposed to the egg shaped bottom often referred to as the Robert Johnson model.
This 1932 L-1 is in Very Good vintage condition. The body shows normal wear and tear you'd expect on a 90 year old guitar, but if you're like us, that old patina is just what you want to see. There are three small initials on the top near the end pin which were applied as a decal many years ago. The guitar has been given a professional neck reset along with a refret, so the action is quite good.
