The owner's father purchased the L-5 prior to enlisting in the Army Air Force Band in 1942. While he was stationed in France, he played in the band with Henry Mancini, who also was his roommate. As far as we know, he used this guitar until he purchased the Guild new in 1966, which he then began to play. The L-12 was a swap he made for a mandolin he had. This L-5 is well played and a great sounding instrument. The Guild and L-12 are also listed on my page.
This guitar has a nice warm sound, with its parallel braced top.
Instrument will be carefully packed.
