1950 GIBSON L-7C with PAF SUNBURST

A unique example of an L-7C that has an added 1959 PAF (we were told by the previous owner, by Gibson) .See picture of the Gibson letter from 1959 which he said he asked for after having the PAF added. I can't verify this, as it's been in our Vault for over 30 years and I'm just going by memory. It has steel Bobbin Mounting screws which were used on the late 57' through 59' PAF's (of course, as with all things Gibson, there were exceptions. The Steel screws are known to give the PAF a bit more gain over the later brass ones (this one is 8.14) and are sought after and used by several famous Guitar players like Peter Green and Paul Kossoff. This one is real as I've seen a bunch of them and this one has the right stuff like the L-shapes tooling marks on the mounting legs, the distinctive looking heads on the steel Phillips screws, the proper 2 braid cable shield, and of course the right PAF decal or sticker as they are sometimes referred to. (the real ones were silkscreened and were actual water slide transfers. It appears the covers were removed at one time by looking at the solder joint, but I did not want to risk damage by removing them.
The rest of the Guitar is in really good shape especially for it's age and compared to others I've seen. It has the chunky 50's style neck shape and feels great with the PAF adding some very sweet sound!
It's a solid carved top, back and sides like the L-5 and has a Brazilian fret board. The frets have lots of like left.
So, I realize someone is probably going to remove the PAF because of it's value, but I didn't have the heart to molest this beauty, (I will include a1980's NOS re-issue PAF in case you are so inclined)
it even has fully shielded pots as installed by Gibson back in the day. There's some buckle rash on the back and a few dings and scratches and a hole where the pick guard was mounted as well as an added strap button. see pic of spec sheet and Gibson letter and close ups of anything we noticed Let me know if you have questions.
