Gibson / Late 1940s L-48 Dish Inlay

L-48 has a strong image of dot position mark,
This one features a dish inlay.
The L-48 archtop guitar was introduced in 1946, but some of them had these specifications in the early stages of production.
This guitar also has a 16" wide body, mahogany top, 1-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, single binding on the top and back, and a simple design with no binding on the neck.
Based on the above specs, it is estimated to be an early example from the late 1940s.

The original bridge is mounted. The bridge has a full and colorful texture.
The fingerboard also has a sweet color/grain that is very attractive.
The pegs have been replaced with recent Cruson single line.

Moderately dead tone with pleasant mid-high tone that is pleasant to the ear.
Both the looks and sound of this guitar are full of flavor.

This vintage archtop is relatively affordable compared to flat tops of the same period, and is in good playing condition.
