Description

If you're looking for an "old wood" Les Paul with a MONSTER top, look no further.

This is a 58 special to Burst conversion done by Jim @ Jam City.
Kim @ HM did the finish work.
Certs from both master luthiers are included.

We took this outrageous husk the rest of the way. Not one detail was overlooked and no expense was spared...

  • 1958 pat applied tuners, grommets and screws.
  • 1957-8 poker chip & washer.
  • 1959 switch tip.
  • 1959 bonnet knobs.
  • complete 1958 wiring harness, pots (28th week of 58 matched quad), bees, 3-way switch, jack, all of it!
  • 1958 jack plate.
  • Monsterous 1959 Double White PAF pickups (8.05 N - 8.65 B).
  • 1959 Nickel ABR-1 bridge with original saddles & screws.
  • 1960's short seam stoptail, chrome back, worn nickel front.
  • 1958/59 pickup rings.
  • all screws, washers, springs, etc are 59 correct and harvested by us.
  • 1959 truss rod cover.
  • 1958 strap buttons and screws.
  • 1958-60 lifton case.

  • the pickguard is the only non-era correct part, it is an Area 59, and its killer.

This instrument retains all of the 1958 LP special wood (neck, fb & body), original serial number, truss rod, holly, nut and that intoxicating vintage smell!
Frets, inlays, binding, top & finish are not original to 1958.

8.6 lbs a terrific and accurate Burst weight. This guitar is very responsive and super resonant.

There are a handful of conversions out there. None come close to this guitars beauty or level of detail, boasting a set of hot and nasty double whites, the most coveted of all paf's really puts this one over the top.
This Burst can't be beat in most price points.

If you want to hit the stage with a "Burst" that even Joe B would be envious of at a 10th of the price, this is for you!

Don't hesitate to reach out for more info on this or any of our other holy grail instruments available on and off market!

Bank wire and check are the preferred method of payment. Invoices can be sent to use credit cards additional fees may apply.

Overnight shipping after payment is received is my preference. There are always exceptions so shipping will be discussed on a case by case basis.

Accurate descriptions, photographs and conversation before a sale is imparitive to minimize any potential returns. Vintage guitars don't like being shipped back and forth. An authentication period can be granted and will be discussed and evaluated on a case by case basis.
