1955 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black

This Gibson Les Paul Custom was made in the USA in 1955. It is a fabulous playing and sounding instrument. There is normal play wear but no structural damage. It is mostly original but there are a few modifications. The pickups are original. Three of the pots are original, but one is changed, and the tone caps are non original Sprague caps. The bridge and tailpiece are original, but the bridge was repositioned and the original holes doweled - this was professionally done and not very noticeable. The tuners are original but it had Kluson deluxe tuners on it at one point. The peg holes were not enlarged but there is one extra screw hole for each tuner on the back of the headstock, although they are covered by the original wafflebacks. It has also been refretted. Everything else is original. The guitar has been pro-setup and it is in excellent playing condition. It weighs 9 lbs 8 oz and comes with the original case.
