1956 Gibson Les Paul Custom

It's a mod that everyone wants and for good reason! The combination of the Staple pickup & PAF is exceptional and offers the player unreal tonal flexibility.
This murdered out monster has been well played in and feels absolutely incredible. It displays lots horizontal checking and just the right amount of wear. She weighs 9 lbs 8oz which is average for a Custom. The guitar is super balanced and feels great in the hand. The neck is a nice full V with soft shoulders, a big reason why 56's are so coveted.
The short seam stop-tail piece, tuners, studs; all of the electronics & all of the plastics are all original to the guitar. The only changed part aside from the PAF upgrade is the bridge. A later gold 60's bridge is on the guitar and dialed in for perfect intonation & action; the original collapsed.
A few years back most of the back of the neck was re-sprayed black, not the headstock or "neck break area" fortunately. I'm sure the finish was just well worn. It's been thoroughly inspected by us and our Luthiers and guaranteed not to have a break of any kind.
This is a great playing, visually appealing and sonically crushing 56 LPC!
