1973 Les Paul Custom: Compared ot others here, certainly priced to sell
Here we have a 1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom in a gorgeous cherry sunburst. The POTS date to the 35th week of 1973, the color is correct for a 73 and we're going to call this a 1973 LP Custom. It's all original except for the pickups which were changed in the late 80’s, to the specially designed for Gibson, Bill Lawrence Humbucking pickups. Fully bound Mahogany (pancake), Maple top, finished in a Cherry Sunburst. Three piece neck with Ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1-9/16” nut width, pearl block inlays, fully bound, 22 frets. Weighs just under 9-3/4 pounds
No pickguard as you can see, and there is that sometimes typical center seam crack in the Maple cap. It's a little bit more severe in the bridge pick up cavity back wall than the neck pickup up cavity. The gold tail piece has some wear as the guitar was top wrapped most of its life. Missing a screw on back control cavity cover. Plays great, nice low action and comes with a first generation protective chainsaw case that’s in excellent condition, all latches work and all hinges fine. The case is $150-$200 alone and most LPer’s prefer these anyway.
This guitar has new strings and quick set up by me, best I can, but that’s not what I do so will need a set-up to your liking. Guitars can experience slight changes during shipping that may require minor adjustments. In addition, I cannot predict how you like your guitar set up. Be advised that minor adjustments or a set-up to your liking may be required and the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Please note that I sell predominantly pre-owned guitars. These are not personal instruments so, although they are inspected and tested, it is possible that I might miss a small nick or ding. I will not be responsible for any shipping charges because you want to send the guitar back because you found a nick or ding that I did not describe or show in a photo. Under no circumstances will I be responsible for any shipping charges, send or return, unless this item is damaged in shipping. I offer a 48 hour approval period.
Checks and money orders, I hate pay pal but will use if if you insist and YOU pay the pay pal fees. buyer pays for shipping and I handle the insurance side of it, greatly reducing your shipping cost
Shipping is normally UPS Ground or Fed Ex ground saving unless otherwise requested by buyer. In this case the buyer pays for any overnight and express shipping.
Full cash refund if instrument does not check to be what I claim it to be.
