Description

Check out the Brazilian Rosewood top on this original 1975 Gibson Les Paul Custom! At the time, Gibson was experimenting with Rosewood bodies with their “Crest” model and decided to release a very small batch of Rosewood-topped Les Pauls in 1975 and 1976. With just 36 shipped in 1975 and roughly 53 total, this particular example is definitely a rare breed! The 3-piece maple neck tapers nicely for a comfortable feel, and the jumbo frets make playing a joy. The finish itself remains in great condition with some light marks throughout, and the original hardware has some expected plating wear. This example had other tuners on it at some point, leaving some impressions, but the original waffle backs are back on with no extra holes. This example is also marked as a Factory 2nd, but we can’t figure out why, as it looks, feels, and sounds incredible!

Overall Condition: 8, light marks throughout, impressions from another tuner set
