Wine Red, factory nickel hardware. Very clean and all-original, including the Tim Shaw humbuckers and the third-generation brown-lined Protector case. Interesting late Norlin production - sandwich body went away in the late ‘70s but the three-piece maple neck was still being used in the early ‘80s, and the “Made in USA” stamp and volute are still present, although the volute is relatively small and was gone shortly after. Great color, the nickel hardware (an option but not one often exercised by dealers or customers at the time) looks very sharp, and of course the beautiful bound ebony board with pearl blocks and the iconic split-diamond inlay. Plays and sounds great, the aforementioned Protector case is in great shape with all latches functional, made in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
