It only took me 37 years to find the right one and this is it. Look at the top on this. Yes, it is by far the best matched 3 piece top Gibson turned out attached to a 1 piece mahogany neck. No rash, worming, cracks, repairs, fret wear or paint work. The neck is straight and true with a fully functional truss rod that has room. The instrument weighs 9 Lbs. 6 Oz's which is on the lighter side for a 80's Custom. Non original parts include the truss rod cover, speed knobs and the rear pickup was replaced with a Duncan Scremin Demon. I do not have the original back pickup. The front is the original Tim Shaw humbucker. The neck isn't full sized, but a very comfortable C suitable for any sized hand.

Cosmetics: A few small marks on the back of the neck which are visible. Minor Hanger Rash on the bottom edge.
