1985 Gibson Les Paul DC 400 XPL playable sold As Is for Parts or a Project. 2 1/1 years ago a man walked into the store looking to trade this rarity in. It was handed down and he not only cut his teeth on this instrument, but was his #1 up to the day he acquired what he desired. This has been sitting in my pile of projects I'm never going to get to. Years ago it suffered a bad head stock break and was poorly repaired, but it stuck! The neck is straight and true with a fully functional truss rod. The fret wire is original with divots as far down as the 13th fret, but it plays free of buzzing or dead spots with low action. All the electronics work as they should. I think the chicken beak knobs really set off tyhe cracked pickup mounting rings and missing thumb screw for the trem. No trem arm or case.

it appears there are similar modes with different control lay outs. On Reverb there are Sold Listings in very good to excellent condition that went for as high as $2500.00, so a $1000.00 for a working project with original parts should be a no brainer.....provided you have the time or desire to restore it.
