Description

Super clean 9.5/10 with zero belt buckle rash. The 1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe is a classic electric guitar known for its distinctive mini-humbuckers, solid mahogany body with a maple top, and signature Les Paul sustain. This one is extremely clean and has just had a recent fret job which makes this more playable for modern players wanting taller frets than these had. Other than the new fretwire, this one is completely original down to every last screw.

AND from the 70's its under 9 lbs. coming in at 8 lb. 14 oz. which is also pretty remarkable.

BUT, this one also has a unique story; unfortunately we have no provenance to prove it, but the anecdotal stories line up. This guitar is a one owner that came out of a shop in West St Louis in the 1970's called Tower Music. A character named Tex was the manager there and happened to be personal friends with Les Paul. He would occasionally get Les to come in to the shop, hang out, meet customers and sign a few things. This is one of those guitars he allgedgedly signed, etched into the pickguard. Again, there is no way to prove this other than knowing where the guitar came from and that used to be a thing he would do there.

The owner of the guitar always played this with kid gloves knowing the signature gave it signifcance.

Comes with aftermarket period correct case.
