The double cut LP Jr is one of Gibson's coolest designs, made for just three years - 1958 through 1960.
Part of the appeal is the simplicity, and it is the key to the amazing tone you get from these beasts.
This particular example is a lightweight knockout, weighing in at just 6 pounds, 11 ounces and sporting a really hot, original P-90.
The neck is slimmer than those you'll find on a '58 or '59, and it feels so great.
There are no neck or headstock issues, no repairs and no issues with the guitar, just sublime goodness.
An alligator chipboard case in terrible shape did come with the guitar, so we added a well-fitting Godin hardshell to keep it safe. The case is being shipped to us separately and will be delivered to the new owner of the guitar when it sadly leaves our care.
The only possible change to the guitar is an oddly placed strap button on the back of the headstock. A friend traded the guitar to me and said that the original owner told him it was original to the guitar. It is the correct era part, but all I have is this second hand information to hang my hat on.
