Summary: This Les Paul Junior has a fair amount of honest wear but no breaks, cracks or visible repairs. It has the original smaller frets which have almost zero wear and a nice rounded soft V neck. Our in house guitar tech has just inspected and set this Gibson up with a new set of 10s and it plays great. The original P-90 pickup has a phenomenal tone and the whole guitar resonates with every note. It ships in a vintage Gibson hardshell case.
Body: Solid mahogany single cutaway with original nitro sunburst finish and single ply black pickguard.
Neck: Soft V mahognay neck with 1 11/16” nut width, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with original frets, pearl dots, nylon nut and 24 3/4” scale length.
Pickups/Hardware: One single P90 pickup, volume, tone, original bridge and studs, nylon nut, reproduction replacement tuners.
Cosmetics: This guitar has lots of finish checking throughout the whole guitar, tons of little nicks, dings and scratches, pick wear, buckle rash and wear through the finish on the neck. There is a lot of wear around the edges of the body exposing the bare wood. Overall, this guitar has tons of wear consistent with a guitar from the 50s that was rocked hard but taken care of and never neglected or abused.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: The tuners are aftermarket but the originals are in the case, the wiring harness has been replaced and the original pots and cap are in the case and the jackplate is replaced.
Weight: 7 lbs, 0 oz.
