サラサラした手触りも魅力のサテン地のボディとネックを採用している2006年製Gibson Les Paul Special Faded
1954年にレスポールの普及モデルとして登場したレスポール・ジュニア。その翌年レスポール・ジュニアの2ピックアップバージョンとして登場したモデルがレスポール・スペシャルです。
このレスポール・スペシャルはオリジナルのモデルを忠実に再現。 ピックアップにはP-90を2発搭載しており、シングルピックアップ特有の高音域にざらつきのあるサウンドはそのままに、コイルターン数を増やすことで音圧もある扱いやすいサウンド。ネック幅は通常ながら薄めのマホガニーネックを採用。ボディコンターを設けており、体の当たる部分も考慮された造り。ハムバッキングサウンドとは一味違ったレスポールサウンドが得られるレスポール・スペシャル。
フェイデッドは塗装の剥がれがヴィンテージっぽい剥がれ方をする為、ガンガン使っている内に「え、本物のヴィンテージ?」なんて間違えられるかもしれません。
