2019 Gibson Les Paul R9 60th Anniversary Slow Iced Tea Fade

Excellent condition featuring single cutaway one piece mahogany body with cherry red stain finish, two piece curly maple top with Slow Iced Tea Fade finish and bound top edges, two Custombucker humbucking pickups with cream pickup surrounds, two volume controls and two tone controls with steel pointers and gold bonnet knobs, three-way pickup selector switch with aged tip and thin cream Rhythm and Treble selector ring, single ply elevated cream pickguard with metal mounting bracket, stop tailpiece, fully adjustable ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge, mahogany neck with cherry red stain finish, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Gibson 50s style open book peghead with pearl inlaid Gibson logo and Les Paul model gold silkscreen logo, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover, vintage style Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with single ring green keystone buttons, serial number ink stamped on the back of the peghead, single ply black plastic electronics cavity control plate, Gibson 60th Anniversary commemorative engraved metal switch cover plate, two metal strap buttons, chrome hardware and original brown Lifton hard shell case with pink plush interior, COA, and all hangtags and paperwork. This guitar weighs 8lb.

This 2019 Gibson Les Paul R9 is in excellent cosmetic condition showing hardly any signs of play wear throughout. The neck profile is that of a late 50s Les Paul carve and feels perfect in hand with just enough chunkiness. The frets show little to no signs of use and have tons of life left in them. This instrument has been professionally set up and plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. The Gibson Custombucker pickups sound ridiculously good and really deliver the woody and articulate cutting tone that golden era Gibson guitars are famous for. My opinion - These pickups are the best humbuckers Gibson has produced in years. The bridge pickup has a very distinct clear biting tone that sounds great with a clean or overdriven amp and the neck pickup has a very round woody growl. The top on this guitar looks fantastic and has beautiful curl which pops in different light angles (see photos). The beautifully figured maple top looks extremely attractive with the Slow Iced Tea Fade finish. It's also worth noting that the piece of mahogany used for the back of this guitar is finely figured as well and really adds to the overall appeal and vibe. This Les Paul is a dynamite player, a definite looker and one of the very best reissue Les Pauls I've played. It is one of the finest reissue Les Pauls to come through our shop and whoever gives this instrument a new home will not be disappointed.
