Gibson 1959 Les Paul Special with Hard Case & Free Lifetime Setups weighing 6 Lbs 15.9 Oz's. Imagine that 66 years old and No Head Stock Break ever. It has been professionally re-fretted and plays beautifully up and down the fret board. We believe the tuners and nut to be original. The truss rod works as it should and has plenty of room before getting to the end. The Brazilian fretboard has a very streaky grain to it and the neck is a med C Profile similar to Les Paul Customs. The pickups are original, well balanced and capable of growling when driven. The electronics have been upgraded, however the original pots, switch and caps are included. They test as functional. The bridge has been upgraded to a Music City Wrap and the original is included. Cosmetics: It is a natural made relic, so expect nicks, dings, chips and checking, however there aren't any cracks or repaired cracks. At some point it appears someone considered putting a Trapeze or some kind of Tail Piece on the guitar made evident by the 3 holes on the end of the body's edge (photo 6) That photo was taken in bright light and isn't true to color. The instruments structural integrity and geometry of build are spot on. The case is a Gibson case that is still vintage, but not original to the guitar.
