Description

There are a number of different versions of this guitar but they each have their appeal. There's the single cut, the double cut with the neck pickup butt up against the neck and there's this one which has the lower neck pickup. They moved the three way around a bit as well. The problem with the original double cut was weakness at the neck join. This version (which is actually called an SG-there is no longer a Les Paul designation) gets rid of that problem but loses some bottom in the neck pickup. This one is mostly original-the tuners were changed to modern strip Klusons and the tailpiece is a Mojotone compensated wraptail so the guitar will actually intonate properly. The original tuners and tailpiece are included. Original P90's and everything else (except the case, nut and frets). It's not exactly collector grade but a good player and a great entry point for vintage. A few things worth noting-there is a slight buzz on the open low E but nowhere else and the frets are really big so a fret level will probably take care of it. It is drilled for an extra strap pin at the cutaway. The case looks like a 90's Gibson and is fully functional.
