2012 Gibson Les Paul Special Sunburst

Summary: Although it's referred to as the Les Paul Junior Special, the Special P-90 is far more similar to early Specials than the Junior. The Les Paul Special presents a modern take on the iconic Les Paul Junior featuring two painstakingly recreated P-90 pickups, made with actual Alnico V magnets. This particular Gibson has a wonderful dark sunburst finish & it was recently set up with a new set of 10’s.

Body: Solid mahogany body with a single cutaway & a satin finish

Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, 1 11/16” nut width, 24.5” scale length, Kluson Deluxe tuning keys

Pickups/Hardware: 2 P-90 pickups, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, chrome hardware, Les Paul “Special” truss rod cover,

Cosmetics: This Gibson has a satin finish that is easy to scratch & ding so the instrument does show lots of wear. The edges of this guitar have some places where the finish has been worn off and there are various small dings & scratches on the body. There is also some wear around the edges of the guitar and scratches on the pickguard. Overall you can tell this guitar was played but it is still in pretty good shape and it plays wonderfully up & down the fingerboard.

Playability: This Gibson has been set up with 10’s and the guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard. The truss rod is fully functional!
