Description

This 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Sunburst is an unbelievable first-year example of the “Holy Grail” of all vintage guitars! As you can see, this piece is in excellent condition, with hardly any playwear and minimal fading of the light-sensitive, aniline-based red dye. The maple top has some subtle figuring throughout and simmers with some movement in the light. All components are original and untouched, including two thunderous-sounding PAF pickups! Unplugged, this guitar is loud and resonant, and the low action makes this burst a pleasure to play. Another plus is the relatively light weight of this standard, making it comfortable in hand, whether seated or standing. This guitar retains its original case and instruction sheets; it even has a touch of history from its original owner, whose information is etched under the control cover.

Overall Condition: 9.5, weather checking, light playwear to the back
