2018 Gibson Les Paul Standard (1956 reissue) Goldtop

This is a really great Custom Shop reissue Les Paul Standard – it truly compares in quality and sound to its vintage forbearers. It has a comfortable 8 lbs, 8.3 oz…right in there with a real vintage 1950’s Les Paul Standard.

This is a great version of the Les Paul Standard, with P-90 pickups, and the ABR-1 Bridge with Stop Tail Bridge.

This shows almost no play wear and is in like new condition. This was never played outside of a home environment and has been babied. Original hardware, and untouched electronics. Frets show no play wear.

I bought this with the intention of installing a set of old P-90’s from the 1950’s that I have. New Gibson pickups to me sound thin, brittle, and a little tinny on the treble side to me. The stock Gibson pickups in this sound great – I was really surprised at how good these pickups sounded- so I left it as is. I removed the oil grime that Gibson puts on these as part of their VOS “Vintage Old Stock” gimmick, and in my opinion, it looks a lot better. This is a VOS model with the aged hardware.
