The Gibson Custom Shop has proudly recreated this Goldtop Les Paul in exhaustive detail, built from a two-piece plain maple top on a one-piece solid mahogany back with a cream binding and a nitrocellulose gloss finish. The solid mahogany authentic '68 medium C-profile neck is home to a smooth and comfortable Indian rosewood fingerboard — this guitar even has the period-correct 14-degree headstock angle and a thick cutaway binding, with precise contours and profiles throughout.
A pair of wicked Custom Soapbar P90 pickups are matched by a set of 500K CTS volume pots, a pair of 500K CTS tone pots, and a hand-wired harness with black beauty capacitors and a three-way toggle switch for a whole range of versatile and powerful tones.
