The Les Paul Studio has a simple look with no binding on the sides of the fingerboard and body.
Despite the simplified specifications, the wood material is the same as the Standard, with a maple/mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The front PU is a 490, which is less likely to feedback even at high volumes, and the rear PU is a 498, a high-power version of the 490, making for a highly practical combination.
It has a warm, thick, thick tone that is typical of Gibson Les Paul and has a nice, sticky tone when distorted.
It is a perfect match for the hard rock sound of yesteryear!
