Nicknamed "Soul Patch" this guitar started it's life as a 1953 trapeze tailpiece. It was sent back to Gibson in 1963 for a total refinish and a new neck as the original neck was broken. Since Gibson doesn't repair necks, they replaced it with a new 1963 neck. A Cherry Sunburst finish was added along with humbucking pickups, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a 1960's style trapeze tailpiece. A stop tailpiece was added at a later time. Most of the parts are from the Creamtone company!
