1942 Gibson LG-1 X braced mahogany guitar in very good condition. This Gibson has had a neck reset, has been refretted, has replacement tuners, and has a replacement Indian rosewood bridge. Aside from light playwear, this LG-1 is very clean and crack free. The guitar was constructed with a mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and an Indian rosewood bridge. The deep carve “C” shaped neck has a width of 1 3/4" at the nut, a depth of 1.03” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.07” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4” scale length and weighs 3.4 lbs. This extremely rare LG-1 has a mahogany top and is X braced, features only found in 1942, its first year of production, and has a gorgeous chocolate brown gloss finish with fancy 5 ply binding and a seven ply rosette. Comes with a non-original hard case.
