Description

Summary: This vintage Gibson looks beautiful with all of the deep weather checking in its sunburst finish and plays like a dream thanks to a pro setup, new set of 10s and great feeling original frets. The tuners have been swapped out for Schallers and the original vibrato unit has been removed and is no longer with the guitar. Overall, the vintage Gibson has held up well over time & it plays great and sounds fantastic.

Body: Mahogany double cutaway with sunburst finish and single ply black pickguard.

Neck: This vintage Gibson has a nice and full profiled mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original frets, pearloid dots, 24 ¾” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: Single original single coil pickup, volume, tone, intonated bridge/wraparound tail-piece (TPBR), Schaller tuners, original nylon nut and gold knobs.

Cosmetics: This Gibson is in great shape aside from the original screw holes left in the body from removing the vibrato unit and screw holes in the back of the headstock from the original tuners. There is lots of deep weather checking in the finish, a few chips in the finish around the edges of the body and fingerboard and some light pick scratches on the pickguard.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The original frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: changed tuners (originals are included in the case), original Maestro vibrola unit is missing.

Weight: 5 lbs, 13 oz.

Case: Comes with tastefully painted vintage black chipboard case & we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
