Introducing a fine example of a 1994 Orville by Gibson ES-335 CH. The "CH" denotes its striking cherry finish, paired with a luxurious, dark Indian rosewood fretboard.
Orville by Gibson, paying homage to the legendary Gibson founder Orville Henry Gibson, emerged from a collaboration between Gibson USA and Yamano Gakki in Japan. These guitars, bearing the Gibson brand, are meticulously crafted in Japan and hold full authorisation.
Sought after and originally intended exclusively for the Japanese market, the Terada Factory-produced Orville by Gibson ES-335s stand out as some of the highest-quality Made in Japan (MIJ) Gibson Branded Semi-Acoustics. Our 335, acquired through sourcing and importation from Japan, boasts stock US made Gibson ’57 Classic Humbucker Pickups, a 60’s Slim-Taper neck profile, and a long tenon neck joint.
Upon assessment, our Orville guitar is in excellent condition, showing only a few surface marks that reflect its well-kept state. The most noteworthy blemishes are a chip in the headstock's “crown” inlay and two indents on both the front and rear peaks of the headstock. Aside from these minor superficial marks, the guitar exhibits minimal play-wear, with only faint surface marks.
The neck is in fine form, offering smooth and undisturbed playability. All 22 frets have plenty of life left in them. The stock electronics are untouched and function seamlessly, while the hardware displays light tarnishing consistent with the guitar’s overall aesthetic.
All original electronics perform flawlessly, including the Gibson USA Made ’57 Classic PAF Humbucker Pickups, showcasing the 335's authentic, smooth, and creamy tones. This particular instrument weighs in at 7.93lbs.

Included is the an aftermarket Japanese hard shaped case with gold plush interior.
