1962 Gibson Les Paul - SG Duane Allman Mod!
On the block is an excellent playing 62 LP SG with incredible vibe.
This one has been a personal player of mine so I had some mods done that I always wanted on an SG!
Essentially this is the Duane Allman mod!
This instrument had a heal repair long ago & the pafs removed. I added pat pending (vintage correct) grovers, removed the sideways vibrato, it is included, and had her drilled for a stop tailpiece.
The ground wire was moved to accommodate the new set up and the area where the sideways v was has been filled.
The finish otherwise on this instrument is đź’Ż factory and gloriously checked everywhere!
The Brazilian fretboard is deep chocolate brown and beautiful. The original frets are lower but play very well and are exceedingly fast.
The pots and all other wiring is original.
All of the plastics (top, plates, pu rings, pick guard, truss cover, knobs, etc) are all original.
The case functions perfectly and is also original.
I tried several sets of pickups in this guitar and found this set of Florence voodoo 59’s compliment the guitar PERFECTLY! These pickups can no longer be made and have a street price of 7-800. They’re killer!
