1961 Gibson SG Custom Black Refinish

1961 Gibson SG Custom Refinish Black, completely overhauled by master luthier Mathias Schindehütte with our friends at GuitarPoint in Frankfurt. They received this original as a husk and it has since been totally transformed into an absolutely killer player's grade vintage machine. The guitar has been fully refinished in black, with medium level ageing and natural weather checking, the middle pickup cavity has been filled for playability, re-fret with Jescar 51100 fretwire and the guitar had a minor heel crack which was repaired.  The tuners are original 1960's Grovers, the plastics and hardware are Crazyparts. The guitar is loaded with a set of ThroBak SLE-101 pickups, which had our jaws firmly planted on the floor. CTS pots and repro Bumblebee caps.  Overall this is a total vibe machine, which plays and sounds fantastic - a players grade vintage guitar for Custom Shop prices.
