1964 Gibson SG Junior Cherry

For sale is this original 1964 SG Jr. Aside from the new frets and compensated MojoAxe bridge (original bridge still included), the owner believes this guitar to be original with a caveat. I state, "with a caveat," because the owner cannot authenticate the tuner buttons. The owner is sure the tuner machines are 100% original, but the buttons are in question. The question centers around the buttons being replaced because they are extremely clean. We wanted to outline this within the post. Furthermore, the guitar will come with a Gibson Custom Shop Hardshell case, as the original case was no longer with the guitar when the owner purchased it.

Now, on to the good! Weighing in at 5 lbs 13.5 oz, the finish, plastics, tuning machines, pots, caps, and p90s are 100% original. The neck is extremely comfortable. It has a nice profile and feels great under your hands. The fretboard feels like an old Brazilian plank, allowing your fingers to glide across like butter. String tension is terrific, and it is very easy to play. These old p90s are also amazing. They are loud and crisp, possessing the tone of what you'd expect from an exceptionally wound set of pups. The finish and pickguard have aged gracefully, with nice checking over the entire guitar. This is a beautiful example. The guitar will be shipped at the buyer's request.
