Description

Just in, a super cool player grade Gibson SG Junior from 1965! This particular example features the transitional nut width of 1 & 5/8" having a full feeling chunky neck.

Work to the guitar includes:

  • At one point another pickup and switch were installed, the pickup route has been filled with wood inserts for stability. There are stress cracks to the heel that are completely stable.

  • The tuners have been replaced with grovers, the wraparound studs were plugged in favour of a 70s abr1/stoptail piece.

  • The pickguard and trussrod cover are replacements, and the guitar has been refretted recently with medium jumbo frets that have little wear.

Otherwise this guitar retains its original cherry finish which shows significant checking and wear. The original p90 sounds fantastic, with the original pots, cap and input jack remaining.

A great playing mid 60s Gibson SG, includes a 70s Gibson hardcase.
