Description

This Gibson Melody Maker was made in the USA in 1969 at which point the model had a SG style body. This is one of the last Melody Makers with a full size headstock. The walnut finish is original and the guitar has a nice chunky neck profile. A previous owner loaded this with a DiMarzio humbucker which was a good move in terms of sound - the guitar is a screamer. They also added a coil tap switch. The pickguard and knobs are changed. The heel has some stress cracks that were repaired a long time ago and are now stable. This guitar has been pro-setup and plays great. It weighs 6 lbs 5 oz and comes with a non original hard case.
