Here we have an exciting 1965 Gibson SG Special in very good overall condition with a little bit of edge wear and a very professionally repaired neck crack. The crack begins just below the treble-side tuners and extends a few inches down the neck. It is totally smooth to the touch, with no gap, and it’s hard to see unless you look very close (see picture). Definitely nothing to worry about structurally but it does shave a bit off the price.
Original 3-on-a-plate Kluson Deluxe tuners. Comfortable 1 11/16 inch nut width. Mahogany neck a scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Neck depth at the first fret is .81 inches and at the twelfth fret one full inch. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with 22 original frets. Two original P-90 pickups that ring clear as a bell. Original Nickel wraparound bridge and Vibrato tailpiece including the original trem arm.
This is one sharp looking, great playing guitar, and these P-90s have excellent clarity and balance. Once you pick this one up, you won’t want to put it down. It’s a good’un. Comes with its original hardshell case and some cool case candy.
