Description

This Gibson SG Special was made in the USA in 1965. It is an early '65 with a large profile neck and full 1 and 11/16th inch nut width. At some point the guitar was finished blue over the white, and then the blue was removed. There are remnants of the blue in some of the dings and dents where it must have been more difficult to remove. Also, while the white is original, some of the top coat was removed along with the blue and so the patina is slightly less glossy than it should be. The serial number it is incredibly faint and we are unable to make out the full serial number and only a small portion of the number is barely visible. There are no breaks or repairs and all of the parts are original, although it originally had a trem which has been removed and is missing. Whoever painted it blue did so without removing the electronics and the solder is all intact and original. The guitar has been refretted. It has been pro-setup and plays great and it comes with a non original hard case.
