Here's a great players SG. It's a big neck 64 SG Standard that's a little unusual. Probably an employee build, it has hum buckers (purple wire patent numbers) like a standard and trapezoid inlays like a standard but it appears to have been built as a wrap tail with a short Maestro like an SG Special. It's in good shape and has been converted to a stop tail with an early patent number ABR-1 (has to be 65 because its nickel). Lightweight stop tail-not sure of the vintage. It has it's original patent number pickups and the solder on the pots is still original so they've never been out of the guitar (although the covers have been off). The really really good news is that this guitar weighs 5 lbs 12 ounces. Really. That's light even for an SG. The neck has no stress cracks or repairs. It is rock solid. This SG never had Grovers. The original Klusons are gone but a good set of repros are on it. Great playability, great tone and light weight make it a dream to play during those looong sets. Nice original hard case with one broken latch (latch is in the case and is repairable).
