1971 Gibson SG Standard

Walnut, VG++. Nice and light at 7 pounds, all stock except new tuners and now has aged nickel Kluson reissue tuners but had small-body Schallers, so you can see the screw holes on the back of the headstock. The other change it's that been refretted (you're welcome.) Large pickguard like Jerry Garcia and Angus Young with crown inlays and small bridge. This era was made from late 1966 to 1971. Factory original solder on factory original pots. This has the famous “patent sticker” pickups and you can hear why they’re so desirable when you plug it in. Crisp and articulate, almost like a Fender. By the way, the SG Standard was always priced similarly to the Fender Stratocaster, and usually had tremolo. The last of the true vintage SGs. Please note this guitar has its original square case. These cases are famous for offering no headstock support and it's unwise to ship in it. This will require two boxes to ship, the guitar in a better case, and the original case (but empty except for maybe a Willie’s t-shirt and calendar.) Great guitar!
