2016 SG Standard P-90

2016 Gibson SG Standard P-90 with single pickup P-90 and the rough high end characteristic of a single pickup.

In 1961, the Les Paul model was changed from the single-cutaway Les Paul model to a one-piece body with a deep, sharp double cutaway and thin mahogany. The name of the double cutaway model was changed to SG (short for solid guitar). Later, the single cutaway Les Paul was revived, but the SG remained a long-selling guitar that is still on the market today. The SG is one of Gibson's masterpieces that have captivated numerous musicians, including "Pete Townsend," "Angus Young," "Tony Iommi," "George Harrison," and "Eric Clapton," among others. The SG Standard P-90 is one of Gibson's masterpieces. This SG Standard P-90 is equipped with Gibson's original P-90 single pickup. Although it is a single pickup, it is wound with a large number of coil turns, giving it a sound with a rough high range characteristic of a single pickup, but also with a fat midrange. The high position is fully exposed, making it easy to play up to the high position, and the lightweight body makes it easy to hold, making this model very popular among petite players and women.
