Up for sale, a real shop favorite. Of course we all love classic J-45s, Doves, Hummingbirds and the like, but this 20 year old Gibson Songbird Deluxe is a real sleeper. It’s a strong player and the Rosewood back and sides give it a suprisingly rich tone and plenty of volume, too.
It’s an all around great guitar for any singer songwriter or Americana band or for just playing around the house if that’s what you do. It’s in very good condition with just normal playing wear and a few bumps and scrapes here and there—nothing that really stands out. The guitar presents very well. The fingerboard and mother of pearl inlays are in great shape, as are the headstock inlays, as well. A very pretty guitar.
There is some minor denting of the lower frets but they are very playable as it stands. Fairly slim neck profile. Back of the neck is nice and clean. Set up in-house to play its best. Straight neck, good action, and very comfortable to play.
Comes with an active internal pickup system that works perfectly. Also comes with a modern Tweed case in excellent condition. This is a lot of guitar for the money.
