1966 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard Sparkling Burgundy

This cool 1966 Gibson Trini Lopez is in good cosmetic condition. This instrument shows signs of play wear and age throughout including extensive finish checking, play wear on the back of the neck and entire body, nicks and dings, scratches and tarnishing of the chrome plated metal hardware. The tuners are Kluson replacements. The original Sparkling Burgundy finish on this guitar has aged and faded to a super cool dark bronze color and at some point this Trini was swapped to left handed and the electronic controls were installed on the other side of the body. Sometime later, the guitar was converted back to being right handed and the holes from the lefty conversion were plugged with 6 metal studs giving the guitar a pretty cool, in my opinion, symmetrical vibe and look. The electronics are all original including the entire wiring harness and PAT# sticker humbucking pickups. This guitar has a killer feeling chunky rounded neck profile with a 1 9/16” nut width. The original frets are in great shape and have plenty of life left. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is clean, free of divots and this guitar has received a professional set up and a new bone nut. This guitar plays spectacular up and down the fingerboard with low snappy action and spot on intonation. The original electronics have been cleaned and are in perfect working order and both original PAT# pickups sound righteous!! These pickups are extremely well balanced, woody and articulate. This guitar excels with clean tones and heavy overdriven sounds alike. This is a pretty lightweight example coming in at 7lb 12oz and it is incredibly resonant and loud when played unplugged.
