Description

Gibson USA 2004 Firebird V Mod

This is the Firebird V" model with two mini-humbuckers, through-neck construction and banjo tuners.

Designed by automotive designer Ray Dietrich, this is Gibson's first model with a through neck construction.
The neck is made of 9-ply mahogany and walnut with mahogany wings glued to the neck.

The original stop tailpiece has been modified to Maestro, and there are traces where stud holes have been filled in.

The bridge has been modified to Goto and the nut has been replaced.

There is a mark that the hole was filled with putty at the body end (near the edge of the 6th string side), and the back of the neck has been repaired from a vertical paint crack.

There are a number of relatively large and small dents and scratches, as well as paint damage to the edges.

The frets have a very slight dent in the low position of the plain strings, but overall there is about 80% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.

There is a slight tobacco smell to both the body and the case.
