This is a kotsuzumi (small drum) body. The body is made in the late Edo period, and the maki-e lacquer-work is thought to be made in the Meiji to early Showa period. There are 11 steps of elaborate "dan-kanna-me" inside of the body. The weight of the cylindrical body is around 510 grams. The core material is used.
One of the two pieces of old leather is nearly 100 years old, and the other is used leather of around 50 years old. Comes with a black lacquered box.
