Description

This Goya Rangemaster is an Italian-made instrument that has been meticulously cared for -- it's in Near Mint / Time Capsule condition! The Goya trademark was originally used by the Hershman Musical Instrument Company of New York City, New York in the 1950's on models built by Sweden's Levin Company (similiar models were sold in Europe under the company's Levin trademark). Levin built high quality acoustic flattop, classical, and archtop guitars as well as mandolins. A large number of re-branded Goya instruments were imported to the U.S. market. During the late 1960s, Goya guitars were being manufactured in Italy, the Rangemasters being built by acclaimed Italian accordion makers, the Polverini Brothers.

The history of this instrument is completely translated to the the way it plays. It has a warm, robust tone that is pure and perfectly suited for many styles of music: jazz, blues, swing, classical... you name it. We knew that it had always received the kind of care that a quality instrument deserves as it plays flawlessly, with a wide range of tones courtesy of the versatile pickup selector switches. Fans of Gretsch, Gibson, or Rickenbacker guitars would feel right at home with this instrument.
